Fluid Base 1.7 makes preset changes more reliable and gives you more control over individual settings in Divi 5. You can also see more clearly which saved values Fluid Base has changed.

Safer Preset Changes

Reversible preset changes were introduced in 1.6. This update improves how they handle existing values, individual changes and interrupted operations.

Before Fluid Base takes over a supported Divi 5 setting, it records the original value. When you switch to a preset that no longer controls that setting, the recorded value is restored, as long as the field still follows Fluid Base. Values you deliberately changed afterward remain yours.

For example, switching from Fluid Typography & Spacing to Fluid Typography restores the recorded spacing values where Fluid Base no longer controls them. An individual spacing adjustment you made afterward stays in place. Where no original value is available, the Fluid Base value is cleared so Divi can use its default.

Custom Setup – No Active Settings turns off the supplied Fluid Base effects while keeping the plugin available. Individual adjustments and custom CSS remain, so this does not return the entire website to an earlier design.

Interrupted preset changes now retain their progress. If something fails, you get an error and an option to try again.
